Life Of A Soldier
Life Of A Soldier
The one who gets a bullet on his chest
But we don’t treat him better than the rest
We sleep but he is awake
And does not even get time to spend at the lake
They give everyone respect
But does not get a single days rest
They go for wars to protect us
But we are not ready to give up our seat to a solider in a bus
To his children, he is a treat
But we don’t give them a fan to reduce the heat
For their families, they are once in a blue moon
I don’t understand, is this job a bane or a boon?
They all try to blend in but they are born to stand out
With a lot of pride because in their life they can never hide.
They are mothers-fathers, sisters-brothers, and daughter-sons
With boots in their feet and hands holding guns.
In our lives, we are just too busy to do something for them
But we don’t realize that they are the brightest gems.
