Let Us Save The Environment

My earnest appeal to all homo sapiens on behalf of Mother Earth,

Whatever be your gender, origin, religion, caste, beliefs and upbringing,

Whatever be your background, education, status, convictions and political inclinations, 

Whatever be the labels on us that make us agree and disagree, 

Let us agree that even to disagree we need to be alive,

And to be alive, we need to have a clean, healthy and green environment around us,

So let us discourage and avoid fancy and meaningless celebrations,

Let us avoid fireworks and blaring loudspeakers,

Let us avoid road shows, political rallies and cultural rallies,

Let us avoid flashy sales at online portals which contribute to pollution,

And instead let us gift ourselves and the coming generations of humans, animals, birds and insects,

A true and meaningful gift of clean air and a clean environment!

Let us find, rediscover and celebrate the light within us with dignity and silence !!
