Let Bygone be Bygone
Let Bygone be Bygone
All dreams do not gain wings
For they are dwindled by ill-fate.
Trying to fortify them is like war with shadow
It is wiser to bereave them and move ahead.
My progeny, my shadow, I had umpteen dreams adorned for him,
But ineluctably there was other conspirations
For he embraced a domain I couldn't imagine.
Momentarily, my dreams were like pulverized heap of dust,
The path to traverse was daunted by indelible realities.
Then his devout soul enlightened my perspective for life,
His innocuous gestures lessoned me to confide in possibilities,
To celebrate life and worship creativity.
We pledged to traverse together to pave the path of sunshine,
Devise the melody of life and sing its glory in rhymes.
