Just True

No pomp, no splendor, no grandeur ,

just a simple gesture,

no elaborate listing, no elaborate demands, just a few of family around

An exaggeration of what has proved

Can be made simpler

A step towards what now seems better.

It took us a while but we are not very late to realise

we need to get the change to simplify.

Centuries have passed setting it straight

It just did become enormous of late.

There was a race or simply just a simple upgrade

To show how we could spend so much

In order to keep the pace.

It was not needed, it could have been just straight

You can see it's acceptable and has been praised.

People have accepted and feel it right

It's a simple ceremony, not a test of might.

The pandemic has taught us something so new

You still look wonderful, there is still beauty in you

Marriages need no destination but just me and you

being meaningful to each other and ever so true

It just takes love and blessings

To be a husband and wife
