Just Like A River

Just Like A River

Just like the river, I should flow carrying everything that floats on me. To never stop and keep running like a bliss. Only if I keep moving forward, nothing can stop me, not even the tallest of mountains and the deepest of the abyss.

Just like the river, I should move forward and never turn back. Helping everyone on the way, prospering every life I can. Only if I look ahead, past won't matter, as I have a long way to go till I end in the ocean of splatter.

It might take the biggest of bridges to cross me over, but I never stop. If I stop, the dirt will consume me, polluting every inch of my soul and every drop. Just like the river, I should help everything I can. Giving away everything I can.

I will be pure only if I move forward, overcoming every dirt and pain of others, individual or a clan. I should flow even after falling hard from the mountains of failure. But that is only possible if I can be like a river.

I turn, I bend, I fall, I rise. I can reflect the far away skies. I shape according to the path I am given. Follow the way wherever I am driven. Still, the best things I can deliver. Only if I can be like a river.

Somewhere I am praised like a god, and somewhere as a useful resource Only when I try to quit moving, I will definitely end in a pit full of self discourse.

Sometimes I should move silently but peacefully, so when someone tries to hear me, they feel the harmony in my movement. I should not be differentiated with colors.

I can be mixed with white, I am green in the jungles, blue in the wide sky, and saffron in the evening light. I can choose any appearance I want.

Only when I get too much of myself, I flood and eradicate everything I see. There will be barriers in the way to show me what has become of me. The ones who will erode shall curse me with an inexplicable fate. But whence I realise the havoc, it will be too late. So instead of taking everything in the way, I shall be a giver, but that is only possible if I try to become like a river.
