January breezes

January breezes

194

Entangled and entwined under the white sheets of bed by the firelight,

Unsteady gaze at the scattering radiance of moon ,

Pounding heart and shaking hands crocheting blankets for mid summer nights,

Wishes for winter shelter into mustard corset cardigan .

Freezing December politely sweeps off the mess the November brought,

January breezes melt and drain the brown litters keeping for later to burn after mundane sunsets,

Eyes in frames witnessed all those alone on foggy morning with sad smiles,

January kisses once again breeds leaves now that unwantedly bled but remained silent all the winter way.

Light cold weather partially steal the warmth of summer form some comfort that left the last snow of winter on her sleeves,

Bluer sky painted blue by strokes of nature's eternal songs,

Cumulus layers soaked snow cascaded rainbow,

For newborn year peeking upon the dewy thistles.

Trails of smokes outlines the goodbyes of blemished December winter,

A wish draped in ember strung out frost memories to leave my soul ,

Harder skin shield the emotions in tender core against the trickling snow,

Calm and gentle it touch the fingertips and falls turn into water.

Snow drip sidewalks became feed for the chirpers,

January breeze keen to declare , " It's time for spring ! "

Dwelling in jackets extends a little bit,

A passing delight renewed the dormant merriment of December winter.
