Interstellar
Interstellar
I stand here alone, amidst the numerous constellations
The reflection in these stars make me wonder
Is this me?
Am I to be described by these?
Do I explore or do I accept?
Do I forego or do I persist?
The life that has laid itself bare to me.
I see her standing alone ashore
Smiling and laughing with her eyes closed
Brimming with vitality, she made me think
Is this what's life supposed to bring?
I wonder when I lost my way?
Trudging along the streets astray
Fearing what next this world will bring
Upon my weakened soul strings.
I pray my lord please let me go
To the fading memories of time those
When those judging stares didn't make me scared
Nor times with friends were a pain to bear.
I ask her how she smiles so brightly
When life has made me look so unsightly
I want to know
What makes her so?
I see her eyes curving up slightly
With stars twinkling ever so brightly
She told me to look within myself
Shedding the facades I built thyself
I wonder if that's what all it took
For making my sense of self to shook
I question if I ever tried
To leave those ugly restraints behind
Treading on a path anew
Bidding those binds an early adieu
She let me find my lost self
The girl made of light itself
I wonder
'Who is she?'
'She is me'
