IN THE RACE

IN THE RACE

2 mins
208

You left me in a race

In this competitive run

Where our coaches had hope

You dropped out without their permission

Who then would have refused, no power over life

But the organizers had the authority

A chance whoever was responsible we can't tell

We would have lifted the golden medal together

But you dropped out of the competitive race

When you fell on ground, everyone believed

That you would stand again, I paused

I thought our opponents had pushed you down

But they were at our back, we had led a distance

Our supporters could do nothing about it

The best they could do, was praying to God

All faith was left to you, hope to stand again

Again and we run to win, to prove our team

To prove our opponents that we different we can

But you never stood up, even when I called you

Even when supporters cheered, you failed to

You could say nothing, apart from looking at me

You left me in a competitive race, hard to end

In this run, I ensure you, our opponents will never pass us

Am still running, am not stopping, and am not ending

Our supporters nolonger care, people are not cheering me

Our opponents are on the same line with me

Am running extremely extraordinary

There are thorns placed on my side line

Supporters are dropping fire over me

They think I will not make it as they only believed in you

Our coach is now different, he doesn't motivate

You either win or lose, in summary, he nolonger cares

In this race, the race that punched me deep

Where friends never cared, even the fellow church people

Who cheered the more, non was concerned, shameless

Am still running the race, but it is full of discouragement

The president of athletics, a brother to our coach

He is a bad guy, because he has everything, more than the coach

He calls him stupid, he who trained us, he referred to him of low mind

He has taken everything from him, even the office land

I hear even he wants to put off his sports gear store

In this competitive race, if you stood up

We would fight all these battles,

Am still running the race

I promise you, we shall win

Because no human can stop me
