IN THE PARALLEL WORLD
IN THE PARALLEL WORLD
And if there exists a parallel world,
I'll treasure you there,
In the poetries I write, in the books I read,
In the stars I count, in the sky, I gaze,
In the art I create, you'll exist.
My imagination of you is captivating,
But reality tells a different tale,
One where our stars never align,
One where you were never mine.
One where I wanted to write about us,
But my pen faltered, the pages remained blank,
My hands could never finish what they started.
Perhaps, in that other world,
Our story flourishes, unhindered and complete.
Perhaps it can never be "us" in this world
