If I were a bird

If a were a bird 

I would be following the animal herd 

I would be with my flock 

I wouldn’t be blocked by the traffic, but I would fly from the highway 

I would sway in the branches of the tree 

I would be totally free  

There will be nothing to worry about 

There will be nothing to hurry about 

I would fly high,  

Up in the sky  

With no fear, 

as nothing can tear me 

I would glide, 

While enjoying the ride 

In the wide sky 

Though I wouldn’t be able to speak, 

with my beak, 

But I can sing  

To link people 

Which bird god would make me? 

I guess a narrow one
