I voted to see India as a country of my dreams

Where love and peace would forever reign supreme

I voted for justice and equality for all

I voted for progress that could never be stalled

I voted for brotherhood; it's the need of the hour

I voted for freedom from pain in hearts that were scarred

I voted for a captain who could sail this boat upstream
