I'm Learning To Grow

This lockdown has been my phase of self-discovery.

I've learnt to unmask my deepest emotions and flaws.

It hasn't been easy to exhume my rawest self, hidden deep under millions of layers of low self-esteem.

I've learnt to let myself feel vulnerable, naked and eliminate my toxic habit of self-doubt.

My hobbies and passions have grown sharper and clearer.

Learning to better my hobbies and passions is like sharpening a knife to cut my favourite fruit.

Not only have I discovered myself but have let myself inhale the world around me.

The sky hanging low with all its subtle colours makes me smile with joy.

I'm learning to recognize and appreciate all the little things.

I'm growing each day like a tender sapling that would soon be a tree.

I'm learning to love, smile and grow.
