I'm Just, Me
I'm Just, Me
Customs are not for me
Traditions are not for me
For I ain't a rebel
I'm just, me.
I can't walk in the crowd
I need more space
So why on earth should I conform
Be a part of this rat race.
It's not that I dislike traditions
There are many that I do
Yet I question their need
For I need a clearer view.
Civilisations change with time
Why not traditions too
Why do we still carry the burden
Of dead corpses all through.
Traditions and customs
Don't create sinners or saints
It's the greed and lust for power
That makes devil out of men.
So I won't bend to traditions
Be one in a crowd
I can't, I won't, I will not
Yet I ain't a rebel
I'm just, me.
