I Can

This journey on which I have embarked upon,

It’s just dusk and the night is going to be long.

It will be difficult to find my way,

And several times I will fall.

But in order to achieve my dreams,

To the ends of the earth, I will crawl.

I will say to myself,

“I am worth it and I always deserve another chance.

This is after-all my story,

So without hesitation towards my dreams,

I’ll advance.”

In this world where everyone is struggling to survive,

I’ll find my reason to live.

I will laugh even when there are,

Thousand causes to grieve.

In every failure, I’ll find my success.

It’ll be just another chapter in my triumph’s book.

So when anyone is feeling lost,

Low or depressed, they would know where to look!

I will make failure my closest ally,

But I won’t give up even after a billionth try.

This is story of acceptance,

Where I will lose myself only to never lose again.

From every defeat, I’ll learn something new;

None of my mistakes would be made in vain.

Perseverance would be my efforts,

And for my day to arise, I will patiently await.

Because I know that,

Power to believe in oneself,

Is the ultimate key to alter your fate.

Even in the darkest times,

With a smile on my face, “I can!” I’ll say;

I will find that ray of hope,

And it would be the dawn of a brand new day.
