I Am Not Leaving...

I am not leaving, even though you have. 

Darkness is all around me and I cannot feel my heartbeat, yet I am not leaving...

As the water rises, the breathing gets tougher

I chock...and yet...I am not leaving.

My bones may rot and the flesh gets burnt,

Nothing will survive to be called me yet,

I am not leaving. While the world sleeps peacefully into the night, 

I lay sleepless, worrying and thinking

What are you up to?

Do you sleep or think of me, 

Do you miss me as I do,

I know you have left...but I am not leaving.

I carry the cross with its nails...

I wait to move on to the other world. And yet I am not leaving.

I bid you farewell my love,

May you live in peace, have love and happiness all around you, but...I am not leaving.
