I Ain't Ready To Go!

As I lie here, I have come to know,

Finally, it's my time to go!

I can see the shining light,

As the world gets out of my sight.

Yet there's so much that is incomplete,

A lot of things I have to finish!

An opportunity to converse and talk,

With my wife, my lovely sweetheart.

A chance with my children, to hug and hold,

And to say all the words that have been untold.

I wish I had worked more on my health,

Which would have given me extra time before death.

I wish I enjoyed life more when I could,

Had met friends often and ate my favourite food!

As my clock's ticking, I feel so helpless,

Though I was alive, my life had been lifeless.

Hence here I am wishing for a spare moment,

Even as the pain of death begins to torment.

Oh God! My time's over I know,

But please leave me, I ain't ready to go!
