Her Walls
Her Walls
Her walls have been built firmly
They're made from tears of regret and fear
She no longer cries anymore
She's done building more walls
Because she's safe inside her own
Nobody can get too close at all
She just pushes them away the moment they make their attempt
She prevents the world from discovering her beauty
She's audacious and potent
She's a fighter
She's only interested in her wellbeing
But her isolation and silence
Are harming her soul
And aching her heart
She refuses to get out and give it a try
Just for once make a change
She prefers to stay alone than feel alone in a crowded party
She hasn't healed from her wounds yet
She's not ready to get it all out
To scream loudly and boldly
But one day it'll happen
She will go out and she will burst into tears out of the bloom and scream her lungs out
Until her voice is gone and her vocal cords are bruised
One day she will set herself free
Her heart will fall in love again
And she will smile again
She will smile out of hope and faith
Someday she will make it out of her cocoon
And fly her way to the seasons of life and its complications
And she will be content
She will be alright
