Helping Others is One Way to Help yourself

When you're young there's the guarantee,

That you'll always have a hand,

At least that's how it should be,

For support, you shouldn't have to demand.

If it's no longer surprising when you're on your own,

Even when it seems you don't have a say,

One shouldn't be confused when frustration is shown,

By that point, it's likely a part of that person's day.

Yes, one can't always be at your beck and call,

As there are things they must do,

But there are those who'll use that as an excuse to stall,

Honestly don't be shocked when you 1 wishes to trade,

Can you do what they must day in and out?

With no one by your side?

As to those responsibilities you no longer wish to abide by.
