You didn't say you don't care anymore.

You behaved like that.

You said you would change your ways, you didn't.

Even though the sun shone on me daily,

A little patch of darkness never failed to creep in the bottom of my heart.

Everyday I hoped for my smile to be same again,

I hoped for our memories to be relived again.

I hoped of winning you back,

Only to realise you were much far from my grasp.

Every night I thought to myself was it the emptiness of your presence??

Or was it the absence of me being complete?

Every night the eyes had oceans to cry, flooding my heart with agony.

Eventually the oceans dried up by the scorching heat of your neglect,

Evaporating all the the pleasant moments which were treasured once.

I wish I had known that this journey which we called 'Relationship' wouldn't have gone too long.

I wish I had known ego wasn't something you wanted to lose unlike me.

I wish I had known your demeanour before I fell so deeply in love.
