Happy Independence Day

Got independence from cages

In which we were stuck for ages

Treated us unfairly

And also paid low wages

Came as mere traders

And began to rule

Resources money and the largest spice market

For them was a boon

The freedom fighters of India

Showed their wrath

They fought against the intruders

Till their last breath

We fought against the British

And conquered are quest

Celebrated our independence

On 15th August

We got freedom from the British

The sweet fruit of our penance

When the whole World was sleeping

We were celebrating our independence

However, our journey does not end here

There are many things to adhere

Being a responsible citizen of India

Our heritage should be preserved altogether

May together we build a beautiful nation
