Happiness

As I went through my regular day,

Social media said it's a special day.

Says its the International Day of Happiness, 

I found this to be the height of crankiness.

Dumbstruck I was straight away,

For,

For me, it was just a calendar day.

Happiness.

Isn't it something inside us?

N not to be created into a fuss.

It is just a state of our mind,

Can be attained by humankind.

The alternate perspective of the given situation,

Can definitely keep one away from frustration.

Happiness is present all around,

Keep working towards it,

and don't breakdown.

Why does happiness need a special day?

One needs to look out for it each and every day.
