Grateful

If ever you think,

It is one of those days again.

Where everything that could go right,

Has gone terribly in vain.

Remember, it is also one of those days,

Where you awoke to the sight of dust dancing in the sunlight.

When the splash of cold water jolted your skin awake.

Where the scent of freshly brewed coffee lured you into the kitchen.

Oh and the comforting crunch of a toast just baked!

One of those days,

When the birds chirped in melody with the ongoing traffic,

And the child across the road flashed a smile at you.

Your favourite song played on the radio,

And the sky was a spectacular hue.

Another day,

When mother had you in her prayers,

And a friend was reminded of a joke you shared.

When a long list could still be made,

Of everyone for you who cared.

So if ever you think,

It is one of those days again.

Be glad for it,

And go dance in the rain.
