Freedom
Freedom
I don't know what freedom you people think you have.
I don't know what idea of liberty you people hold in your minds.
I don't know what truly being independent means to you.
I don't know what slogans you speak about all the time regarding freedom, Independence, liberty etc.
For me, freedom can be found in the smallest of things.
Like,
I feel being free means having the choice of sitting however you want to.
I feel being free means removing your bra and throwing it on the floor.
I feel being free means not being subjected to judgments for using TikTok.
I feel being free means to be able to cry and laugh whenever and wherever you want,
Without thinking twice about the eyes staring at you.
I feel being free means not being ashamed of being a tomboy
If you are a girl or having the traits of feminity if you are a boy.
I feel being free means not feeling shy because you bleed every month.
I feel being free means not being judgmental
That your mother/sister/daughter/girlfriend/wife bleeds every month.
I feel being free means not worrying about external beauty and accepting it with a smile.
I feel being free means not having guilt in you for hurting people that you have unknowingly.
I feel being free means opening your minds and hearts for the LGBT community with love and only love.
I feel being free means having the liberty to take up whatever career you want to.
I feel being free means accepting that boys aren't always wrong and girls aren't always right.
I feel being free means understanding that boys too get raped and girls can rape.
I feel being free means having the choice of going out at any time of the day /night,
Without any companion, irrespective of the gender you are.
I feel being free means having the opportunity to choose
Your own choice of toys, irrespective of what gender you are.
I feel being free means talking about anything with your parents without any hesitation.
I feel being free means not being embarrassed about your mental health.
I feel being free means knowing and understanding that
Consulting a counselor or psychologist doesn't make you anything less than a normal human.
