Flag Of Hope
Flag Of Hope
I don't want to see quarantined love poems,
I don't want to see prisons dressed in verses,
Tearing the voice of conscience.
I don't want to see cages chaining prisoners,
Wearing down passion vehemently.
Is anyone still alive?
Behind screens, I see faces with empty dreams.
Do they still love it?
I see longings fallen, defeated, waiting for some destiny,
Do they still fear?
I see psychiatrists arrive calming social anxiety,
Giving away delusions of love encapsulated in Citalopram.
Do they lose hope?
I see them arriving deliriously dancing on balconies without ceasing,
Giving away hope encapsulated in melodies of peace.
There are no loves lost in quarantine
I give flags!
I raise the flag of hope found by poets,
Until the heavy splinter splintered by the confinement.
There are no lost loves!
They are just new lovers finding their way.
