Fire & Ash

The blazing fire,
And the diffusing fume
Symbolize rage,
Ruling the human heart.

Once anger sets in,
Sanity is forgotten,
And vanity takes over
The chambers of the heart.

And the ash,
Left over in the end,
Is the aftermath
Of all unresolved conflicts.

Its grayness
Reminds us of grief,
And all irreversible losses,
The destruction has caused.
