Soul Wounds
Soul Wounds
Within the heart's core,
Are gravely buried,
Decades-old wounds,
Making the soul impaired.
These wounds,
Have sundry tales to tell;
Unpleasant ones,
Of narcissism and betrayal.
Profoundly broken,
And onerous to mend,
The soul keeps on mourning,
Over bitter reflections.
What more to say,
The already shattered soul,
Is being injured again,
And again.
Wounds over wounds,
Multiplying pain;
Gradually,
Crying soul turns mum.
