Finding SPACE
Finding SPACE
On that night of the winter,
I chose to sleep beneath the open sky
In the middle of the town,
Watched the twinkling stars spreading your joy,
Felt the warmth of the moon,
As if you had kept your head on my shoulder through the night.
Just the other day I told you
I will give my life for a fistful of your smile,
I will topple the genetics of the mortal,
To sing you the song till eternity,
Not a single melancholic moment I will allow in your vicinity.
Not sure why I reduced to so human,
When you came to my world
Leaving behind almost everything, entrusting me,
I could not reciprocate the same, after a few springs,
Sand was slipping out of my hand
And I was trying to keep it tight within.
Alas, I was not so i
rrational and
Understood the basics,
Before swirling you around to fit into a world
Where I was already spinning at a fast pace
And heard the moan that you had
To make me the superhuman that I had promised.
God smiles and reminds us that we are beautiful,
That night the boy in me was back to school
With the same vigor to know,
The ever so intriguing lessons - lessons of life.
It is so pure, it had me zooming into realities,
A mind free of dogmas and a whole lot of untruths,
It is like the tenderness of my mother’s hand on me.
The human in me had got its best treasured possession,
It is the detachment that makes the life,
It is giving space to each other and helping,
To unlock the potential to reach the heights.
