We were born as men

So we were bound to feel no pain

Belonging to the classic patriarchal society,

No one ever thought that even we could be molested.

Our fathers wanted us to be strong and straight

But we were bestowed with effeminate traits

We never knew how to dominate others

All we wanted was love laughter and compassion.

We were rebuked for your accents and features

Often we were cursed and called unfortunate creatures

Is it our fault to be what we are?

Even we were born with the same flesh and blood.

Sometimes our family deny what we are

Knowing that acceptance is all we want

Is it so difficult to understand that we are humans too?

Maybe our choices differ but we are normal too.

Even we got assaulted under the dynamics of patriarchy

There were nights when we got raped of our dignity

Silent tears have subdued our voice too

Even we suffered and got abused too.

Do Men need to be strong and straight

Can't we be soft and gay?
