Family
Family
A smile on everyone’s face
Because I was born
Tears rolled down my mother’s eyes
When for the first time I yawned.
Growing up was fun under parents
As they always saw me with a hawk-eye
Guided me for my career and decisions
Protected me from all kinds of outcry.
Life went on like a roller coaster ride
Mixed with fun and sorrow
I realized I can’t repay my parents
With whatever I borrow.
Years after years passed on
Gave in to life’s demands
But craved for my parent’s love
When they held me through by my hand.
Standing by their grave
My cries have turned into grief
My life has become aimless
Like a coarse reef.
Do whatever in your life
But spend time with your family
Because today they are here
And tomorrow you will be lonely.
