Religion was invented centuries ago

It's true, we cannot just let it go

There are times we need faith

It gives hope when we have to wait

This faith is one, stories differ

Stories are sweet, the comparison is bitter

Faith is like a mother

To be shared among sister and brother

Yet it's edges are as sharp as a knife

People treat it like a wife

No sharing, no caring

Different story, so no sparing

They fight to protect their faith

Hope dies, all that lives is hate

Let all kids be mothered

Let all stories be heard

Let all faiths be kept

Let all hopes be hoped
