Eyes
Eyes
Deep into baby blues,
I gaze-
Slowly tracing,
The contours of her face.
One arm wrapped gingerly,
Around her waist.
Minutes slowly passing-
To times of joyous waste.
She whispers so softly,
Words I can’t believe.
She tells me she can’t stand,
The thought of being alive.
How all these lies about her,
Life rage in her mind.
How could someone-
Who comforts me so,
Let all the lies and,
Deceit takes control.
Bearing the weight,
Of your world in my mind.
I hope you know I’d give,
Anything for you to feel alive.
I can’t bear the thought of-
Saying goodbye.
That’s why I will only
Ever say goodnight.
