Pale Blue
Pale Blue
She promises me it’s the last time
As she slowly ties a birthmarked arm
Such beauty overtook by a powder fiend
Left with a perfect scabbed and bruised frame
And eyes darker than the secrets we keep
And all her charm and cheer went to waste
Begging and pleading in vain
For one warm embrace before her beauty fades
Knowing I’m destined to watch her slowly die again
This horrid sound echoing after one final plunge
The devil’s breath left you seizing and shaking
Breathing my life into you while my heart’s slowly breaking
Staring into lifeless baby blues to match the flesh hue
Clutching and screaming for heaven to spare you
