Eye of the Storm...

As chaos and mayhem surround me

Reflecting on the past, no future I foresee

The present is full of grief and despair

All the routes warn me ‘beware’   

       

As the ferocious winds engulf me in doom and distress

Millions of people find solace as peacefully they rest

As calamities and disaster implore and explode everywhere

To step outside their houses individuals are scared

But death is shrewd and vicious of all

You can run but not hide as it makes the final call

It hunts you down

Its wrath is wrapped up in a grin instead of a frown

Characterized by doom and disdain earthlings run for their lives

On their pain the crime thrives!

As the world around me comes crumbling down and is reduced to ashes

People’s lives come and go in flashes

I’m imperious immune and yet affected

In every moment of sin and sorrow I’m being tested

As I am enveloped into the tranquil tempest

Shattered are the straws of my fictitious secured nest

Sedately fear dominates my mind

Treacherously whispering in my ears melodious, cruel, heinous, violent hymn

This delicate stringent world is thrown into havoc and turmoil

As humans’ trivial crucial subsequent plans it foils

And as our pride and progress is laughed upon

The mortals understand, in this game, that they are mere pawns. 

Along with morale and values fades away the unstable calm

I watch everything from the eye of this unprecedented storm…
