Empty moon When I was craving to see you
Empty moon When I was craving to see you
You are not there,
Only the shadow—
a blocked and empty moon.
I searched for you
in the moon, in the rays,
even when I wanted
to end the addiction.
But it was you—
everywhere.
No more of you, I said,
yet even a little
was enough.
It isn’t a loop,
but neither is it freedom.
Not the horse meant to dance
in a baraat,
but the one sent to war,
to save, to protect,
to guard the peace.
And I know—
we both will win
in pretending to be strong.
Because practice,
only practice,
makes perfect.
