Echoes of freedom

Enemies left us with no choice,

To be able to soar high,

Indians had to raise their voice,

To be as free as a bird in the sky.

Freedom was all we needed indeed, 

Fighting fearlessly for future friends,

Some fight, some intercede,

Either way the struggle ends.

Today we are alive and free,

Under no dominion,

What a glorious victory it was,

Effort of a million.

This independence day,

Lets salute, respect and honor,

The carefree sacrifices,

United we stand stronger.

Courage, peace and faith,

Became the beliefs of the people, 

India's independence manifested,

The power of, good over evil.
