Dream

Simply close your eyes and let, 

Your imagination fly away, 

Now see a picture of where, 

You wish to be one day. 

Paint the picture of your dream,

And place it in your hand, 

Don't ever give up or let it go, 

This you must understand. 

Hold on to it tightly, 

But allow it room to grow, 

And when you finally reach your dream,

Open your hand, let it go. 

Now close your eyes again, 

And do just as you did before,

Trying to fulfill every dream,

Is what life is really for.

Years ago when I was a child, 

I had a lovely dream at night, 

I dreamt of becoming a poet,

A Book of Poems, I would write. 

If we never followed our dreams,

Or wished upon a star,

We’d miss out on the chance to be,

Much better than we are.

So always keep those dreams alive,

Don’t let them fade away,

It’s possible, one of your dreams,

Will come true someday!
