Did Love Ever Choose Me?

It was summer days,

My heart delighted to see you.

I could see your eyes sparkling at me;

I was standing at the door of hope.

Felt like happiness running towards me.

Scenes passed by, my faith never lost.

I was at the castle waiting for my Prince:

But True Love got betrayed, 

He never stepped into my garden.

The fragrance of my soul vanished. 

I cried days and nights long;

"Was it all a lie?" 

I wiped my weary eyes, 

Learned never to love again.

Held every broken piece of mine;

And sculptured a new me. 

Turned a worrier into a warrior, 

Either I could perish or flourish. 

Fought the battles and wars,

Scars made a wise.

Now I am the Emperor of my desires.

But the destiny had another plan

I heard a knock on the door of my heart.

I refused it, ran away,

Cause I knew Love was never made for me.

This Love melted me and always showed, it was for me.

It was hard but it made its way for me.

It won my heart and now I couldn't stop it.
