Existence
Existence
In the depths of my mind, a question lingers,
One that haunts me, with its cold fingers,
What is the purpose, of this life we lead,
Is it simply to survive, and then to bleed?
Or is there more, to this human existence,
A deeper meaning, that defies resistance,
A purpose that's woven, into every thread,
A reason why, we rise from our bed.
Perhaps it's to love, and to be loved in turn,
To cherish each moment, and to fiercely yearn,
To create, to inspire, to leave a legacy,
To find our place, in this vast tapestry.
Or maybe it's to grow, to evolve, to learn,
To seek knowledge, and to let our minds burn,
To explore the mysteries, of this universe,
To understand, and to quench our thirst.
Whatever it may be, this purpose we seek,
Let us embrace it, with courage and meek,
For in the end, it's not what we gain,
But what we give, that will forever remain.
