Depression

Depression

4 mins
10

In shadows deep, where light grows dim,

Resides a darkness, stark and grim.

A silent force, it grips the soul,

Its name is whispered: Depression's toll.

With chains unseen, it binds the mind,

Leaving scars of the unkind.

A cruel master, it steals the light,

Replacing joy with endless night.

In whispered doubts and shattered dreams,

It drowns the heart in silent screams.

Each day a battle, fought in vain,

As hope is lost amidst the pain.

It paints the world in shades of gray,

Where laughter fades and tears hold sway.

A heavy burden, cold and bare,

It whispers lies of despair.

But in the depths, a spark remains,

A flicker of hope that yet sustains.

For even in the darkest night,

There lies the strength to stand and fight.

So let us raise our voices high,

And banish shadows from the sky.

For though depression's grip may be cruel,

Within us burns the light of fuel.
