All Hindus were tired of

The tyranny of Muslim rulers

In every part of the country

Some were forcibly converted

And some converted by choice

To have twin benefits of it

Being Hindu was being tough

Low castes were treated rough

Rulers were giving pain enough

If they converted to be Muslims

They stopped facing low caste stigma

And also saved from state tyranny

In 1674 AD forcible conversion started in Kashmir

Kashmiri Brahmins under Pandit Kirpa Chandra

Came to Guru Teg Bahadur at Anandpur for help

In the court Guru said that only if

Some saint could lay his life for you

Your faith can be saved and defended

On hearing this Prince Found said that

No one else is ready to be sacrificed for them

Only you can save their faith and religion

Ninth Guru then told Kashmiri Pandits to tell

Governor of Kashmir that only if he could be converted to Islam, they would also follow

Ninth Guru took along him his three flowers

Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das and Bhai Dayala

Set on a foot journey to Delhi for great sacrifice

In Agra they were arrested by the soldiers

And taken to police station in Delhi, where

Nobody could convince them to convert

Then to intimidate Guru Teg Bahadur

They started torturing his followers in different barbaric ways and slowly killed them

While these followers were tortured

Ninth Guru was made to witness this

Standing in a narrow barbed cage

All four of them, Guru and his followers

Remained firm in their faith and then on

November 11, 1675, the Guru was martyred
