Dear Postbox
Dear Postbox
A dear little letterbox,
You showed a new tradition
To share words with one another,
To share love and care.
You carry throughout the world,
The feelings of a broken heart,
The fun of a family,
Sometimes lovable lies.
The physical contact of pen and paper,
Time set to focus on thoughts,
Folding of paper into an envelope,
Releasing into the letterbox,
All acts of loving-kindness.
Dear postbox,
You remain the same for centuries
Waiting with patience,
The best lesson to learn from you.
