Daughter's Hero

Daughter's Hero

1 min
153

I look and wonder,

At my daughter,

I extend my hand to gently lift her,

She looks at me,

Her expressive eyes twinkling

With a smile,

Sometimes her expression

Asks, who I am,

Life will never be the same,

Never will be there a dull moment,

Her every moment and movement,

A delight to watch.

As she grows to wait to hear,

Her utter the words, papa,

Music to my ears.

As I share the joyful moments

Of fatherhood,

I will stand with her on every step,

As she walks toward her future,

Her father, her friend, her teacher.

All the way in her life.

Together we share our lives,

 Watched by her indulgent mother,

A quail sitting on her heart singing the song of motherhood.

I will guide her when she walks,

In to a world awaiting

Her footsteps.

My daughter will turn around;

I will be standing there,

My daughter's hero.
