Covid And The Politics

Crores of people suffered 

Lakhs of them died 

Thousands are isolated

And as such COVID became 

The part of our life.

Masks and sanitizers, you know 

Are just for the common people 

The virus exists even in valleys 

Loves schools, malls, gyms 

But not the rallies.

It doesn't affect at the time of 

Addressing the nation at the podium 

But yes it does in virtual meetings,

The deadly virus might enjoy internet interactions 

But not the crowd ones,

And hence the voting procedure must go on.

Markets shut down 

Families isolated 

"Fifty persons allowed for wedding"

Dear XYZ,

Our shopping is not yet completed.

How am I supposed to get ready 

When the parlors are locked 

And the boutiques are closed.

Can't attend my own wedding 

Without the Red outfit

Arms, legs need to be shaved 

And body to be polished 

Else my husband's face color might get faded.

Beds unavailable, shortage of oxygen 

Let the people die 

And let the politics carry on!
