Conjunction
Conjunction
Life gave a task.
Complete the sentences.
Use conjunction.
Innocent, pure at heart, I
picked up "and"
Leaped to the sunshine
without fearing the fire.
Ran, to hold the rains
fell into the mud. Yet, hopeful,
I completed my sentences.
Carefree youth, fearless, brave, I
picked up "and" again.
Soaring up like the kite
battling the winds, touched my dreams.
ascending, descending; nose diving,
torn, weary, exhausted, yet confident;
I completed the sentences.
Then calculative, matured, ripened, I
hesitant, doubtful, egoistic, self-absorbed
dropped the "and"; picked the buts and ifs.
Measurements, dos and don'ts; yes, no;
excuses, justifications, defence;
commas, colons, semicolons emerged.
Sentences remained incomplete.
In life, only " and" joins the phrases
adds, builds on, affix; good or bad,
Both buts, Ifs cannot.
