Childhood
Childhood
Sometimes I wish go back to my childhood,
To those days when life used to be less difficult,
When little things,
Used to make me happy.
I wish to go back to those days,
When fairytales and toys meant everything to me,
When I used to hug my teddy bear,
While sleeping.
I want to go back to those days,
When everything was so easy,
Life was easy.
I had nothing to be afraid of,
There was no fear of losing people.
My mind used to be like a kite,
Soaring up high in the sky.
I wish to go back to those days,
When after coming back from school,
I used to tell Maa what all happened that day,
And she used to listen,
With an amused look in her eyes.
I could cry,
Burying my face in mother's lap.
Nothing held me back.
There were no regrets,
No reason to blame myself,
And life was like a beautiful garden,
With flowers in full bloom.
And I was like a butterfly,
Enjoying the nectar.
I want to escape from this cruel world,
And go back to my childhood.
