Chaos

As she keeps looking around,

Her eyes can't help but frequently dart to the ground,

For there are men and women, all the same,

Her heart dancing around, never staying tame,

Eyes peer at her, up and down,

Whether it is a sweatshirt or an elegant gown,

Picking at her secrets, never meant to see,

Fear of getting caught, which will never just let her be;

None to confide, none to share,

Heart pounding, tears flowing, just another burden for her to bear,

Afraid to tell her peers, lest they leer,

That her heart yearns for a whisper of "I love you dear;"

And yet, she fights, struggling to break free,

Though confused, head held high, forever wondering, if it's a he or a she;
