Chandelier
Chandelier
A crowded room
but, not a voice I hear
Stronger is the bond
of the pillars and walls
than any other here,
in this hall lit by the mighty chandelier.
Surrounded, yet deserted I find
solace in the warmth of
the fireplace near.
This lavishly filled hall
has grown emptier
than this very day, the past year
And one day,
it’ll only be the paintings
which would be true
be colourful, I fear.
