But first, accept yourself
But first, accept yourself
Before you seek someone else’s validation,
Before you allow yourself to be trapped into an imaginary rabbit hole of self-doubt and judgement,
Before you crave for other’s approval of
Your appearance, your behaviour, your language, your terms, your choices
Look inside you and see
You are asking for nothing but -
For tags, for brands which have the shimmer of fakeness , judgement and is flaw-centric.
Their mere thumbs up which is liable to turn down anytime
That simple “OK” for a manifestation
Which is beyond
Perfect, double face, an alternation of oneself to meet expectations of people whose existence is not an inch significant
Stop welcoming appreciations and likeliness
For your moulded and modified version
That came as a result of trying to be more acceptable
Instead, be one
Who is flawed, yet veracious
Whose face blooms with an essence of uniqueness
And who is incapable of being assessed on a 5-point scale
Set by the “perfectly crafted” people.
Cherish your imperfection, embrace it.
You exceed their definition of what constitutes real beauty
And therefore,
Accept yourself first
Love yourself for being your candid version
