Parents

They bring us to this Earth

Welcome us to this world

Ecstasy fills them up,

And their happiness is eternal

During our birth.

They cradle us with sheer joy, 

And surround us with the cheeriest of toys

They see us grow

From a toddler to an old.

They raise us,

Nurture us, with all amenities that are must!

They accomplish our desires, our cravings

Stake the money meant for their savings!

They protect us from every trouble

Shielding us from the malice of the world

They guide us to the righteous,

And put us on track 

When we are deviated from what is virtuous!

Their smiles make me glee with delight

It sets my heart enchant

And their roars of laughter are contagious quite

To keep me bewitched and I deject shan’t!

I make every endeavour

To perform all tasks with fervour

To reach my goals, to claim victory!

And to make their heads raise with pride, 

Of their daughter, their child they had raised, they had guide.
