Burn

Weekend is solitude, 

A time to contemplate, 

To realize my existence, 

And to decide for the week ahead, 

To burn.

As I burn, 

I reiterate to myself-

"Do not extinguish this fire,

Let it burn,

Fan its flames,

Let the smoke rise,

Make visible the process of your transformation,

Reveal it to the world,

Do not fear judgmentalism,

Perceive it as recognition,

Of your pain, of your sorrow,

Let no one extinguish this fire,

Take the charge of it,

And decide your time,

To transform, to resurrect,

Like a phoenix from its ashes.

Do not worry about the loss in the process,

Coz the gain is insurmountable,

Ever seen something shining,

Without having faced friction of some kind,

Why do you question the fire,

It is healing you,

It is making you,

The time to shine is beckoned,

Just set free all inhibitions,

Do not extinguish this fire,

Let it burn,

Fan its flames,

Let the smoke rise."
